My debut book, Crack for Trout Bums, was an off-and-on passion project for years until its release in December 2025. As an award-winning Colorado freelance writer and outdoor adventure journalist, I’ve poured my heart into this project. It reflects my journey in long-form narrative travel writing and my deep connection to trout fishing in the Western wilderness.
The cover features original artwork by my daughter, Addi, an aspiring fantasy author.
For those of us who suffer from "fishing withdrawals" during the winter, Crack for Trout Bums is the medicine needed until the next hatch. You don’t need to be a trout fanatic to enjoy this journey; it’s a fascinating tour through the science, history, and stories of trout.
